Sept. 26 Warrior White Out Includes Tailgate and Game
On Friday, Sept. 26, the North Atlanta High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) will be hosting the Warrior White Out tailgate and game. The tailgate will be held on Warrior Field and will feature a variety of activities, including music from North Atlanta senior and DJ Tyler Ball, a vertical Velcro wall, and a raffle.
Lori Burden, the PTSA member organizing the tailgate, said she is excited about the community-building that will follow in the annual get-together.
Food at the tailgate will be free for all students and include lots of snacks and drinks. The tailgate begins at 4 pm and will conclude around 6 pm.
Burden also noted that the cheerleading squad will be at the tailgate to get the crowds excited before the game. There will be a loud Warrior send-off for the football team at 5:30 pm, when the team will head to the game. North Atlanta will take on Sprayberry High School, and all students are encouraged to follow the white out apparel theme to build school spirit.
The $10 event ticket includes the bus ride, a ticket to the game, and a Warrior spirit item, said Leslee Evans, a NAHS parent and a bookstore volunteer. The bus will leave at 6 pm at the conclusion of the tailgate and will be at the stadium in time for kickoff. “Parents can also choose whether to pick their child up at Grady, or have them ride back to North Atlanta where the bus will return to around midnight,” Evans said.
Students should pick up permission forms in order to ride the Spirit Bus to the Grady High School Stadium, where the warriors and yellow jackets will face-off. Permission forms can be picked up at the Warrior Bookstore.
Both underclassmen and upperclassmen alike are anticipating the event. Warriors, make sure to come out on Friday for the fun event and to support the football team!
