Basketball fans and players of all shapes and sizes will converge in the North Atlanta gymnasium tomorrow on Friday, November 14, at 6 pm for the first-ever North Atlanta “Night of Hoops,” an evening of all things basketball related. The event will culminate with Black and Silver Warrior inter-squad scrimmages. Admission is $5, but is free for children five years old and under.

“We know that everyone is going to enjoy this evening of exciting action and non-stop events,” said Coach Jarrod Davis, girls head basketball coach. Multiple scrimmages will make the evening even more intense and action packed, he said.

The event will also feature play between hoopsters from Sutton Middle School. North Atlanta inter-squad scrimmages will include 9th, JV, and varsity boys and girls teams.

“Night of Hoops” will include door prizes and drawings; free throw, 2-ball, 3-point and half-court shooting competitions; and a Chick-Fil-A Raffle. Those under five years of age can frolic in a “Kid’s Zone” with bouncy inflatables and other diversions. A DJ will add to the electric atmosphere, as will a special guest appearance from Atlanta Dream player Matee Ajavon, who will give away pictures and sign autographs.

The event is all about establishing buzz in advance of the Warriors’ first official games. It will be fun night for families, fans, coaches, and players to celebrate all things basketball – and doing so Warrior style.
