Warriors Will Take Hollywood for Upcoming Spirit Week

At North Atlanta, one of the most memorable times of the year is Homecoming Week. The theme for Homecoming Week this year – “Warriors Take Hollywood” – is sure to please the interests of the more dramatic crowd at our school.

From October 27 to 31, students will find ways to embody favorite characters, impersonate favored athletes, and to just generally exhibit the most important attribute of all: school spirit.

The week kicks off on Monday with “Tacky Tourist Day.” Dig around in your closet for theme park shirts, Hawaiian shirts, and don’t forget the handy fanny pack. Next is Tuesday’s “Character Day.” This day tends to be a favorite, because everyone gets to dress up as a favorite character, whether that character is a fictional character or a celebrity. On Wednesday, the halls are sure to be filled with a sea of sports jerseys for “Sports Day.” Wear the jersey of your favorite athlete or team or rock your Powderpuff jersey in preparation for the big game. The Powerpuff game takes place on Wednesday on Warrior Field at 6:45 p.m. Music and food truck fun will precede the zany gridiron event.

Thursday will be the classic “Throwback Thursday,” Whether you prefer throwin’ it back in time to the 60s-70s-80s or if you’d rather take on a “futuristic” approach, ‘Throwback Thursday” will be one for you. The week ends on Friday with “Spirit Day.” In anticipation of the homecoming game against North Springs High School, all students should rock the North Atlanta spirit colors and proudly wear their black and silver.

The theme of “Warriors Take Hollywood” will be carried on to Saturday, the day of the homecoming dance. The dance will be held in the gym from 8 to 11 p.m. The $5 tickets will be on sale through October 28in the Warrior Store. Come ready to boogie down as it’s sure to be an event you won’t want to miss.

Administrators remind that the dress code must be followed on all spirit days. No matter what character you embody, no masks are allowed.

Follow the dress code. Follow your heart. But most importantly, have a great and safe Spirit and Homecoming Week at North Atlanta!
