November is the month when all Americans direct their thoughts toward what they are most thankful for. (It’s also — on Thanksgiving — a time for some major-league gorging on Turkey, stuffing and whatever else granny and the fam cook up. Our digestive tracts still haven’t recovered.) Before the Thanksgiving Break, the Wire asked its readers — the North Atlanta student population — what they are most thankful for and their insightful, cryptic and hilarious responses are below. We’re thankful for you, North Atlanta. You continue to inspire us! (And you give us plenty to write about.)

That I made it so far this school year …. sleep … food … “Monday Night Football” …  for my awesome teachers … for everything I have in life … for being a 2K god … for a break from school … for my teachers for allowing me to do make-up work … the bread .. Fortnite Burger … $ money $ .. For waking up every morning with something important to do … for a break and for time to get my life together … for not living in North Korea … the artistry that is Nicki Minaj … for my sanity … thankful for the pham! … I’m thankful for the fact that I’m able to be thankful … my fam fam … snacks … $$$ … for waking up every morning … Fortnite and Red Dead Redemption 2 … life…. and Instagram … a roof over my head … Dr. Patke … ma homies and ma fam … My cat Wilson, my computer, my epic gamer friends, my epic gamer victory royales, and my left big toe … my off-White outfit and my exclusive Fear of God Nikes that haven’t even dropped yet — and my pitbull … for a break! … for my friends, besides Ben … Chicken Minis … My teddy bear Beau Blackshaw … for my fam and the real people out there … I’m thankful for this week to be over already … I’m thankful for the girls that gave me clout … My swimming pool and my yeezys … Hitting dab like wiz khalifa … My family – the ones who are still alive …. Fortnite …  for surviving the first semester of AP Human Geography … Pillsbury cookies … Advil … a break from school … my mom’s money … I don’t know … for Brookdawg …

… for the ability to celebrate Thanksgiving.
