Lyric Hoover is a sophomore at North Atlanta High School. A newcomer to the ranks of the Warrior Wire staff, she writes depressing poetry, reads young adult fantasy novels, argues with strangers on the Internet, and stockpiles hard candy in her spare time. When Lyric tells people that she’s a writer, she means that she’s a free-thinking, unorthodox idealist who aspires to make the most of her sophomore year and her stint on the Wire. This wordsmith is also a one-year veteran of the debate team, Creative Writing Club, Tome Society, Slam Poetry Club, and Gay-Straight Alliance, and this year she seeks to add the Warrior Wire to her ever-growing roster of extracurriculars. Lyric’s personal goals for the foreseeable (and unforeseeable) future include working in an antique bookstore and publishing her writing.
