Homecoming week is one of the most fun and exciting times of the year at North Atlanta. This year’s theme, “Destinations,” is sure to be a memorable one.

From Sept. 28 to Oct. 2, students will show their support for homecoming by cheering on sports teams, dressing up like their favorite pop culture characters, and, most important, showing plenty of school spirit.

The week begins on Monday with “Favorite Vacation Location Tee Day.” Check the bottoms of your dresser drawers for those long-lost souvenirs from some of the really cool places you’ve been. On Tuesday, students will show off their alternate identities during “Character Day.” Whether these characters are fictitious or real, the halls are sure to be filled with all sorts of awesome characters. Next up is “Powderpuff-Team Jersey Day” on Wednesday. Show your support for your favorite team or sport your Powderpuff jersey in anticipation of the game that night at 6:45.

Thursday will be the classic “Throwback Thursday.” Whether you rewind to the 60s-70s- and 80s, or fast forward to the future, Thursday is sure to have something for you. The week will end with Friday’s “Spirit Day.” The day will pump students up for the homecoming game against Cambridge. Everyone should wear their black and silver to show their spirit!

The party continues into Saturday, the day of the homecoming dance. The dance will be held in the gym on Oct. 3. Tickets are $5 and will be sold in the Warrior Bookstore until Sept. 30. Bust a move and come on down, you won’t want to miss it.

Remember, the standard dress code must be followed throughout spirit week. No matter what character you impersonate, no masks or hats will be allowed.

Show your support and make Spirit Week 2015 one to remember!
