Class of 2017 Plans to Be Announced During Senior Decision Day Event

Class of 2017 Senior Decision Day will be held on May 17 in the school auditorium.

Class of 2017 Senior Decision Day will be held on May 17 in the school auditorium.

For all students a senior year is a stressful time. College applications, standardized testing, and angst about an uncertain future all converge into a massive black hole of stress. But with stress also comes a sense of abiding accomplishment. And these accomplishments – and future plans – will both be celebrated at Class of 2017 Senior Decision Day Celebration.

The May 17 event starts at noon and will be held in the school auditorium. Every year the seniors vote on the theme of decision day and this year an Oscar theme won out.  A red carpet and “paparazzi” are just two of the many design choices that will make attendees feel like they are true celebrities. A package with some Oscar themed goodies will also be provided. Of course these seniors won’t be left to gather their own food, yet. Popcorn and other concessions will be provided. A DJ will also be there to liven up the mood with some fun tunes.

Despite the fancy theme, luxurious attire is far from a requirement. Guests will only have to don a business casual requirement. Seniors and any assorted relatives are all invited.

The event is sponsored by the College and Career Center and the North Atlanta Parent Teacher Association (PTSA). Though members of the Class of 2017 will soon be leaving North Atlanta for whatever their future holds, the Senior Decision Day Celebration is sure to be an event they will never forget.
