End of High School Marks Beginning of New Life Stage

From the day we are born we are indoctrinated into an education system and taught the basic principles of history, science and math. As we seniors move ever closer to our graduation day, we begin to realize that this is truly it.

After May 23, it’s not a summer break where we start up school again in August. Graduation day marks the end of the educational line, and from there we choose our own paths in life. Whether we’ve been accepted into college or will pursue careers of our own we must realize that our plans will not always pan out and life might throw unexpected curve balls at us.

Leaving high school is the first step in a long journey, a path that will define who you are and mold you into the person you want to be, no matter what your background or life circumstances. During the past four years, I have seen people make great strides in their lives and achieve significant goals. Many will go to college and study in fields with will benefit our country and world. They will become doctors, teachers, engineers, lawyers, firefighters, police officers, politicians, activists, soldiers, CEOs of companies and maybe even world leaders. With the day fast approaching we begin to prepare for our final day of school before we go out into the world and make our respective marks.

To my fellow Classmates of 2015, I hope and pray that you will achieve all the greatness you have in mind and that you will become the person you have always wanted to be. Goodbye, Godspeed and safe journeys, no matter where they take you.
