With only three meets under their belt, the swimming Warriors are already making a splash this 2019-2020 season. This years team shows great potential, with the team being closer than it ever was before.

This year’s team is a deep pool of talent, showcasing the skills of students grades 9-12 and is coached by Tim Storsteen and Alan Joel. Strong swimmers are all across the board, with notable players to watch being Savannah Mason, Zoe Mock, Chloe Van Nort, and Sophie Yanoshick for the girls and Matt Steele, Ben Steele, Jack Bynum, Ben Aspinwall, Graham Lee, and Leighton Carpenter for the boys.

Coming off a record season last year, the warriors are ready to show out this year stronger and faster than ever. The team is more than ready for another record breaking season. “This years swim team is really strong,” says junior Elise Roman “The hours of hard work we put in is starting to pay off and it feels great.”

The team had its first meet on Nov. 2 at Dunwoody where they swam against many other schools in the Atlanta area. Following the meet, the squad participated in the 7th Annual Atlanta Classic Invitational kickoff, in which the team competed against other schools like Atlanta International School and Maynard H. Jackson High School. They also swam against Marist on Nov. 12, and Woodward on Nov. 21, where the dubs pulled through with a dub, winning the hosts in both meets.

Overall, this years bunch of swimming warriors shows strong potential for the current season. So why not go support the dubs at their upcoming swim meets on Dec. 13 at Lovett and Dec. 21 at Georgia Tech!
